---FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE---
CADDY FOR A CURE COMES TO TPC SUGARLOAF FOR THE 2007 AT&T CLASSIC
Coral Springs, FL - April 24, 2007 -
Caddy For A Cure, Inc., the charitable golf fantasy program where golf fans can be inside the ropes, carrying the bag for PGA Tour players, is ready for this year's AT&T Classic. The caddie opportunity at the beautiful PGA Sugarloaf golf course will be available for two world renowned PGA Tour players, Niclas Fasth and Shaun Micheel.
"Both Fasth and Micheel are such great guys and their golf is just amazing to watch" says Russ Holden, Caddy For A Cure program founder and veteran Tour caddie. "Being one-on-one with Tour players who are ranked in the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings like Fasth and Micheel offers golf fans a rare treat into professional golf" he adds. Caddy For A Cure dedicates 100% of its proceeds to charitable organizations primarily geared toward helping children, with the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund being the impetus behind its fund raising goals. "With the AT&T Classic's history of supporting great causes and its support of our CFAC program, we are thrilled to have this opportunity to come to the Atlanta area for the tournament" adds Holden. The AT&T Classic tournament has contributed over $15 million in overall charitable contributions since 1981, $11.5 million of which has gone to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, its primary recipient of tournament proceeds.
The way the Caddy For A Cure program works is the opportunity to caddie during the official practice round of a PGA Tour tournament is offered through online auctions with eBayâ. The auction winners earn the privilege of being side-by-side, "inside the ropes" on the range, putting greens and golf course, with the world's best Tour players. The experience is a relaxed, yet still very professional, PGA Tour setting. "Caddies" get to watch their player's thought processes, practice routines and shot-making skills, first-hand, without the sharing their player's time with other amateurs or worrying about their own golf performance. The amount of one-on-one time with the Players is unparalleled from any other professional sports experience.
New to this year's caddie opportunity is the inclusion of a free 3-day, 2-night golf vacation package for two (2) with Bison Homes at their Torreon Golf Course. The Torreon Golf Course and Golf Villas are located in beautiful Show Low, AZ, just a 3-hour drive from Tucson or Phoenix. Two rounds of golf per person are included in the package.
The auctions for the AT&T Classic will run from, Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00pm ET for 10-days, closing on Friday, May 4th. The caddie date is Tuesday, May 15th. Bidders can find the auctions through the auction links on the CFAC website at www.caddyforacure.com or directly through ebay.com by searching for Caddy For A Cure.
