Special Note from Mary Ellen Eiler at Fanconi

Russ:

Just a note to let you know that I've reviewed all of the information that you sent in your e-mail of March 14th (the information from the PGA) and continue to be very enthusiastic about Caddy for a Cure -- and very appreciative of your leadership in turning this dream into a reality. If there is anything that we can do to help or any information that we can provide, just let me know.

For example, we just received our annual audit from our accounting firm and, once again, the Fund's administrative expenses were exceedingly low (only 6.41% in 2004). What this means is that, of every $1 donated to the Fund, everything but 6.5 cents goes to research (the vast majority) and to family services.

We also publish a newsletter twice a year that contains a great deal of information about FA. We just finished sending out our most recent copy today, and I'd be happy to send you one if you would like. The newsletter might be of interest to the golfers or caddies who are not familiar with FA. In fact, I'll just go ahead and drop one of the newsletters in the mail to you on Monday, so that you can see if it is something that you might want to use.

There is also a wealth of information on our website (www.fanconi.org) regarding the research that we have funded and the other services that we provide. If you see anything there that catches your eye or can think of anything that we can do to support Caddy for a Cure, please just let me know.

Thanks so much. We're all so grateful for your commitment to do all you can to defeat this devastating disease.

Best regards,

Mary Ellen Eiler
Executive Director
Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, Inc.
